A DIY Fendi?

According to US Instyle, Fendi want you to make your own Baguette! Put your personal stamp on their ever-popular baguette, the iconic bag loved by Carrie Bradshaw on Sex and The City. The limited-edition Baguette Mezzo Punto includes a canvas baguette, needle, thread and how-to charts to help you embroider the logo—or whatever design you choose! The $995 do-it-yourself kit goes on sale November 30th at Limited Edition Experiences in Miami. If you can't make the trip to Miami, the Baguette Mezzo Punto will be available at Fendi boutiques nationwide this spring and I can only hope that will include the UK! What a Fab idea!

  3. What a great idea! I always wanted to DIY my stuff. I even considered doing the Nike tennies DIY's but never managed to do it. This is awesome, while a bit pricey...hopefully, other cooler designers will do it too, cuz that Fendi bag is a smidgen old fashioned. Love the idea though! xxx LZ

  5. If I could sew that would be pretty badass...but the problem is I'd ruin the poor sucker. I think I would end up making the Fendi look like a fake that I bought from Peckham market that someone bought really cheaply from China and mass-produced it to look like crap. I think if you are a clever artist and a killer with a needle and thread, more power to you....but I think $995 bones is a lot of money for a DIY purse. But, thanks as always for letting us know what's happening in the world of the unique in fashion miss fab! xoxoxox

  7. Ha commercial cynic here - mmmm way to make money and tap into new markets. Interesting to know about it though.

BTW bit the bullet and got the Select leather jacket and it is a winner. Soft leather, tick. Fits, tick. And looks good, tick. For £50 it is a bargain that will keep on giving. Thank you for sourcing this number. I could only afford it as it was £50.

You can't wear it open as it looks rubbish but I tell you it looks hot done up!
