M&S sale - flatforms and Stripes.

I was a little bit gutted that the email telling me about the Marks and Spencer sale came in yesterday and I didn't actually see it until this morning, how very annoying especially being as Little Man is in need of new summer pyjamas and underwear and I was hoping to pick up a bargain rather than having to pay out Boden prices (even though I love their pyjamas) but sadly there was nothing left in his size, so I decided to have a browse through the womenswear section as it would have been rude not to!

M&S have done some great shoes recently and I have seen a couple of very covetable pairs on blogs  and being as I am always up for a bit of Shoe Porn, whether High End or High Street, that was where the cursor took me first.  There wasn't really much on this occasion that grabbed me, but then I saw a pair of flatforms.  Now flatforms are a type of footwear which speaks for its self, as in they are flat but have a platform, if that makes sense, and a certain daughter of mine is particularly enamoured with this kind of footwear at present, so I had never dreamed that such a style would be leaping into my shopping basket but with the wearing of heels becoming increasing difficult, they seemed like the perfect solution to wanting a bit of height during the day.  Ballet flats may be chic with your jeans and mac but come summer its all about the sandal for me and to have a pair that adds an inch or two without making me look like I have the calves of a Russian weight lifter has to tick my box, not to mention that the black ones are reduced to £15!

Limited Collection at M&S £15 in black.

Then with summer on my mind, I had a browse through the swimwear as I have officially decided it is high time I introduced more one pieces into my swimwear collection in the absence of an Elle McPherson bikini bod and naturally a striped bandeau style caught my eye.  Now you don't need to be a stylist to know that an apple body shape like myself should never wear a stripey swimsuit and if you came to me for style advice, as many of you have, I would not be pointing you in the direction of this candy coloured beauty, but you know I am a sucker for stripes and the cut out detail on the back is so cute, disregarding any weirdo tan lines you may get whilst sunning yourself in it, but what the heck, it will probably be returned but it does have body shaper tummy control so that will help right?

Swimsuit was £29.50 now £17.

I will share them with you when they arrive but will not be modelling the swimsuit obviously, but meanwhile if you are looking to grab some pieces for your holiday wardrobe at bargain prices there is a nice selection of beachwear.

  2. Like that the swimsuit has a yellow line at waist level, such a great little trick! At first glimpse thought it was a 2 piece!

  4. That swim suit is fab!

I always see emails too late, missing out on free delivery or big discounts. So aggravating.

  5. I always need that added bit of height and I love that flatforms are so easy to walk in. I have never even considered buying shoes in M&S although a big fan of their clothes. Those look great though.

  6. The swimsuit is cute, but I have to admit that flatforms aren't quite my cup of tea:) I'll stick with my wedges.
