Closet Confidential- House of Fraser brand event.

Its no good sorting out your seasonal wardrobe, getting all your summer clothes back in the closet, identifying anything that you might need, then doing nothing about it.  So whether its by way of the impending summer sales, or current mid season reductions, those gaps need to be filled and if you can do it with a cheeky little bargain purchase or two, then so much the better.

When I had my sort out last weekend, I felt I was in need of more colour, some prints, smarter shorts (preferably with a turn up) and some more summer dresses (which would hopefully include a white day dress) so a little online shopping during the House of Fraser 2 day brand event will hopefully fill those gaps for now and allow for more fashion frivolity once the major sales go live.

I adore dresses for effortless summer style and I thought the yellow floral option would be an easy piece to dress up or down with either wedges or flat sandals and the white Phase Eight dress had been on my summer frock radar for ages but I was put off by the fact it was sleeveless, so I shall see how the bingo wings look when it arrives.
I liked the slightly loose tunic shape of the Aztec print top, perfect for skimming the tummy area and the shorts are a summer basic that I desperately needed as most of mine are casual so I wanted something just a little bit smarter but in a style that would work as well with plain t-shirts and statement necklaces as they would with pretty tops or blouses. As for the necklace, well I just liked it....

Did you take advantage of the House of Fraser two day event?

  1. Gorgeous stylish choices - I look forward to seeing you wearing them. The Phase 8 dress is fab - love a simple cream/white dress. Hope it's all perfect when it arrives & have a great weekend, Avril x
PS, thanks for all your lovely comments over on my blog. I've always checked out your blog but haven't commented before. The good news is that this lazy commenter is changing her ways from now on as I realise how encouraging and lovely it is when people go to the trouble to comment. x

  6. Love your choices. I was very tempted with come carpis and a few dresses but restrained myself as I don't really need them though I will need a couple of sleeved dresses come September. Have my eye on a couple of H goodies so am trying hard not to deviate...:-)

  10. I know what you mean! I've just started to drag all the summer clothes from the back of the drawers, all squished and creased. But then the weather turned. Ack. Back to coats again. I've got my eyes on prints at the moment too.
