The futures bright - the future's orange.

I have been on a mission this season to inject a bit of colour into a mostly neutral coloured wardrobe and one colour that I have fallen in love with, hook line and sinker, has to be orange.  I have long been a fan of tangerine coloured nail polish during the summer months, it looks fab with a tan and works with all your outfits, but it was the Isabella Oliver orange asymmetrical jumper that really put this colour on my warm weather fashion map and if you feel just a little too old for this season's neons, then orange, with its many different shade variations, is the way to go, whether you are looking for the perfect holiday dress, a simple daytime look or something more dressy for a summer event.

If you don't fancy wearing it, but love the colour, you can brighten up any summer outfit with a tangerine hued pop of citrus brights!  I will always remember the comments I used to get many years ago when I had a Celine Boogie Bag in orange.  In Celine speak it was "Paprika" but trust me it was orange and drew compliments from so many people.

  1. I love orange! It's a colour that just brightens up my day. The only time I avoid it here in Belfast is during the 12th July Orangemen parades! lol Avrilx

  2. I love the orange colour scheme, also coral. I think coral is easier to wear. I am a black/white/neutral lady too. As I dont want to turn into a female version of Terry Wogan (beige)am trying to inject colour into my wardrobe, hence the Nine West sandals! Happy 4th July from the US

  3. I love a splash of orange in the summer. My 'go to' summer nail varnish is orange and looks gorgeous with tanned feet. I also bought a 'up and down' orange dress a few weeks back (longer at the back than the front). Summer here we come!
Love the sunglasses and the VB clutch.

  9. Love the orange Whistles dress and that one looks a bargain price. I think my accent colour this year is yellow except I didn't know it until recently. I seem to be drawn to bright sharp yellows (none of this pastel stuff).

  10. Love your choices! I've always prefered orange over red and it's one of the few brights among my neutrals too. I'm mad about coral as well and will use them beyond this season. x

  11. Yellow for me! Can't get enough of it teamed with grey, blue and neautrals. My new office is stupidly close to Cos but I shouldn't encourage you to shop on the high street, think how much closer you could have been to your Chanel bag....ref last post
