I then cast a sartorial eye over the offerings on the Wallis website whilst spending a gift card recently and still opted for something else, but it was of the sequin variety so I forgave myself.
Then there was the small matter of the Michael Kors sale at The Outnet last week and after a recent "shall I or shan't I" episode over a pink stripe Kors jumper which subsequently sold out, I didn't want to take any chances with anything that took my eye from the king of upper east side luxe.
First I toyed with a leather trimmed trench and then I spotted a long coveted poncho. With a style that covers a multitude of sins, it was finally time to bring out my inner "spaghetti western" and make my way to checkout.
A little google "campaign MK poncho" searching proved that a faux fur snood is obligatory to add a touch of glamour to your look and I need no excuses to add some more fluffiness to my wardrobe........
I ordered it on Thursday was expecting it on Friday, but alas it still hasn't arrived, so I guess today could be the day and in a perfect world, I would be wearing it with a few lust worthy pieces.......
Michael Michael Kors Poncho £84 The Outnet. Dark Red Seam Leggings £12.99 New Look. Faux Fur Snood £22 Oasis. Fearne Boots £75 Miss KG at Kurt Geiger. YSL Cabas Chyc tote £1,485 NAP. Studded Cuff Gloves £95 Karen Millen.
Would you wear one or would it make you feel like Clint Eastwood?

As much as I love the poncho pictures, I think I'm too small to wear a poncho. But the furry snood .. now that's got me thinking!!!
ReplyDeleteI have a poncho which I wore last year (once) and I've officially denounced it from my wardrobe this year as I now think it's huge on me. Funny what a difference a year makes. I might keep it just to snuggle in in the evenings though.
ReplyDeleteOoh some lovely stuff there Sharron - hope it arrives today! I am a poncho fan too - also awaiting an online order from White Company. Love how you've put those pieces together. xx
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see it on you! I tried on the Wallis one with the fur collar Saturday and felt it swamped me a bit! I think I had the wrong boots for it so I might try again another day:) Love how you styled that black one too! The Oasis fur snood is on my shopping list:)

ReplyDeleteLast year while over in the UK I bought a blanket/shawl from Next, it has fringing and a toggle fastener it was only 28 quid, so a no brainer, but certainly not a poncho. Hope your MK purchase arrives soon, pictures required please!
I am trying to save for some boots that I intend to buy when I come over to the UK. Looking forward to a little Retail therapy in good old Blighty!
