The first one I tested was Fracas, now I'm not very good at describing beauty products, I'm no dedicated beauty blogger although I love my cosmetics and skin care as much as the next product junkie and upon first opening my thoughts were "Wow, this is only one step away from Neon" which it isn't when you put it on, but I was initially worried as I leave Neon nail colours to my three daughters and I also thought it looked "pearlescent" in the bottle, something else I am not a fan of, but again it doesn't look pearly on at all. I am also not a massive fan of pinks (I guess you are wondering why I bought it at all) but it is a lovely medium pink, bright enough to make an impact, more "warm" than a hot pink and a gorgeous shade for holidays, so all in all this gets the thumbs up and will put "Orange Fizz" and "Holiday" my favoured Chanel holiday shades, well, in the shade!
Next up I tried Accessoire which was a welcome addition to my Chanel collection as my Rouge Noir seems to have done a runner! Love this as much as I love Rouge Noir only difference is, I would say this has a tad of a browny tinge to it but is sure to become a firm favourite, I am a sucker for a vampy nail!
Finally Emprise. Again I'm not a fan of pale nudey type colours although they serve a purpose as don't show the chips as much as darker colours and are far easier to paint without the need for a steady hand and I know lots of women who adore nude colours. Described by some as a pinky shade, I'd like to blow that one right out of the water as this colour most definitely falls in the peachy nude colour category. Closest Chanel existing colour is Jade Rose.
Although a pleasing collection, that as usual, I just had to have, if you have a good stock of Chanel colours, you may not need to rush out and buy immediately as none of the colours are particularly unique but if you are taking your first steps into the brands polishes, then I can't think of three better shades to start off with as the only other shade you would need is a red and then you would have something for every outfit and occasion.
In all pictures I am using China Glaze Ridge Filler Base Coat, 2 coats of nail polish and Seche Vite Top Coat available here.
You can buy Chanel nail colours online at Boots and Selfridges who at time of writing, have all three colours in stock.
Have you bought any of these colours yet? Are they on your beauty wish list? Are you a vampy, pink or nude kinda girl?

Feel I haven't lived as I don't own a single Chanel nail polish - live in Nails Inc. These colours look really good - particularly that pinky shade.
ReplyDeleteAww you know me - a grey girl through and through. But I do like the look of the Fracas one - it shouts summer all over it.
ReplyDeleteLove the Fracas. Don't know how you get your nails to look so good. How long does the polish last before chipping?
ReplyDeleteLove the Fracas...your nails are always gorgeous!

Love them all! And can imagine wearing them all. To my shame I don't own a single Chanel nail polish, despite having a basket overflowing with every other brand. Clearly I will need to rectify this pronto. Your nails are gorgeous by the way:)
ReplyDeleteMy favourite Chanel polish from this collection is definitely Fracas. Maybe it's because we are all pining for spring/summer, warm weather, a light tan and summer clothes.
ReplyDeleteI really want Fracas! Such a perfect pink :)
ReplyDeleteI think I would go for the Fracas this time - looks a gorgeous shade. Different to any I have! X

ReplyDeleteJust bought the Fracas at the week-end for a friend's birthday gift! Glad it's not as bright as it seemed. The lady also told me it was a limited edition which sold it to me! She said 2 of the 3 new ones were but can't remember which was the other one, sorry. x
ReplyDeleteThe Fracas is gorgeous - I just bought some new Opi colors while getting Sue some Nein Nein Nein...I'm ready for some Spring neons on the nails!
ReplyDeleteThey're all lovely colours Sharron but Fracas is my favourite - gorgeous - sadly don't own any Chanel polishes - one day ... xx
ReplyDeleteFracas looks great especially for spring and summer. I have Rouge Noir and really love it so the Accessoire could be a possibility for when it runs out. I am not a big fan of pale colours either, they usually make my skin look pale.
ReplyDeleteI quite fancy fracas for a change .....have been doing lots of dark sludgy colours for too long!!
ReplyDeleteYou have such pretty nails, Sharron. I should really expand my repertoire of nail polish as I only own one.
ReplyDeleteI go through phases of being absolutely nail obsessed! These colours are all really nice, the pink especially. I'm loving Essie polishes at the moment, I've been addicted since they became available in Boots.
ReplyDeleteI'm shallow....just love Chanel for the lovely packaging.!
ReplyDeleteLove the look of Accessoire! Worthy alternative to Rouge Noir I'd say :-) x
