There is one thing our skin needs just as much during the harsh winter months as it does during summer and that is exfoliation. I have used an exfoliating cleanser for my face either Liz Earle or Eve Lom for years until my recent addiction to Dermalogica Microfoliant, and a body scrub is just as important in keeping skin soft and glowing underneath winters many layers and better able to absorb the moisturiser you should all be applying by the bucket load if your skin is as dry as mine often is at this time of year.
I have always been a big fan of the Origins Ginger Body Scrub but was lucky enough to receive a Sanctuary Hot Sugar one at Christmas which has fast become my latest body product addiction and it appears the Sanctuary range of scrubs are much loved by celebs and are currently being hailed as the £11 beauty secret by a national newspaper!
I can highly recommend the Hot Sugar Scrub which not only smells divine but does a great job of getting rid of dead and dry skin and feels like a real spa treat in the comfort of your own shower. Abbey Clancy is a huge fan of this one where as Alesha Dixon, Darcey Bussell and Danielle Lineker all swear by the salt scrub, which I shall be sure to try out next.
I can't think of a better way to spend my Boots points and shall be sticking with Sanctuary scrubs for the foreseeable future as well as trying out some other products which sound utterly fabulous like the Youth Boosting Body Butter £12.00 (sounds like a must have), the Daydream Candle for £12.50 and the Long Lasting 4 Day Body Oil Spray £6.99.
I also love that a lot of products come in travel sizes for holidays or mini breaks, perfect if you can't be bothered to decant and that you can test out these scrubs by buying sachets if you don't wish to invest in a large pot straightaway.
