This week has flown by with high winds, broken fence panels and trying to justify all the Mothers Day chocolate by making healthy soups for lunch everyday. Oh and Albert ate the TV guide this morning.
I am a massive fan of Lindt choccy in any shape or form and the M&S fudge was the best I have ever tasted! Thanks kids!

I obtained one of my soup recipes from the Deliciously Healthy Kitchen cookery workshop I attended back in January and the other one came from Emily's blog and was equally deliciously. Both helped to eliminate waste as I had sweet potatoes, celery and a random leek in the fridge and used up other store cupboard ingredients I already had. I also found they worked perfectly for Charlie's supper as he has a school dinner anyway and doesn't always want, nor should he have, another meal in the evening but coming home from school on a bitter cold and snowy day to a bowl of homemade soup full of goodness can only be a good thing and gives you a certain satisfaction as a Mum (or is that just me being an idiot as usual?). The other thing I love about Emily's soup recipes is that you can adjust them slightly. One of the soups required a carrot but I didn't have any but made it anyway and you wouldn't have known. Naturally I wouldn't leave out more than one ingredient in case it did affect the taste but it didn't in this case.

Elemis Freebies worth up to £90! - buy 2 full size products and choose 5 free gifts (perfect for travel) from a list of 10! Offer ends Sunday and I have only heard great things about the Frangipani body oil and am desperate to try it. It is not only a body oil but can be used on hair, hands and feet. I also love the idea that it solidifies when the temperature drops, I've had a product that did this before, fascinating, but you just warm it between your hands if this happens and I really want to invest in this. Use code TREAT5 at checkout then you will get the opportunity to choose your 5 freebies from a list of 10. I've just done mine and saved £63! Shop here.

M&S mid season sale continues. I have been tempted by some new swimwear for Marbella in May but it's been too cold for me to think about actually putting such items in my basket. I will have to go back and take another look in hope they still have my size! Shop here.
Indulge yourself in some online shopping this weekend and hopefully Spring and warmer temperatures will be here soon.
Have a great weekend xx

Thank you for your kind words Sian they are much appreciated x
DeleteThe soup looks wonderful and no you're not an idiot - I feel exactly the same! Although mine have packed lunches so always have a hot meal in the evening anyway! M&S fudge - brilliant. So very tempted by the Elemis offer - don't know if I can resist! Have a great weekend! xx
ReplyDeleteHi there! Nothing better than home made soup and yours looks delish!! Have a good weekend! xxx
ReplyDeleteI'm intrigued, as ever this is really well researched and carefully put together. When you are hunting out all of these bargains, do you think that you buy more than you would if you weren't looking? I am only asking as I know how I am on EBay at getting sucked into buying things I never knew I needed, so I have deliberately avoided other online shopping opportunities
ReplyDeleteSometimes maybe but budget is tight at the moment, I think it depends what you can afford. I used to run up credit card bills years ago and only buy designer stuff, now I can't afford it or have the figure for it!
DeleteMy judgement about how much to spend and on what has changed so much since the advent of EBay. Now my clothes cost no more than a fiver, but I go out and spend the same on two coffees, it's a bit mad!
DeleteThere are some great sales on! Hoping for some warmer weather soon :) x
ReplyDeleteAny post with Lindor chocolates is a post worth reading lol! These are great finds :)
ReplyDeleteP.S. wanna follow each other?
