When I was contacted by Cocorose London and asked to review an item of footwear from their collection, their timing was perfect as some of my footwear, or more specifically ballet pumps, need replacing.
I have to confess I hadn't heard of Cocorose before but upon first glance of their website, it was obvious that with a passion for ballet flats and a quality product that puts them in line with a couple of ballet flat brands I am more familiar with, I was never going to not be impressed!
Founded in 2007 by Janan, the brands heritage lies in the markets of East London and now has a cult following with their footwear being sold in premium stores around the world. Their English heritage, collaborations with the Royal Ballet Company and Liberty London along with The Sunday Times Travel Magazine hailing their ballet flats the best foldable flats on the market, had me more than a little excited about a review.
I initially wanted red to replace an old pair that have seen better days but sadly they were out of stock in my size. I eventually chose gold as I am a great believer that metallics go with virtually everything!
My shoes arrived in beautiful packaging but it wasn't until I opened the box that I realised the foldable flats I had chosen, come with a lovely little zip up pouch which makes them perfect for carrying in your bag. Great if you go out in heels but need to change once your feet start to ache and as the Sunday Times state, this also makes them the perfect travel companion.
The leather is butter soft and attention to detail is second to none. I opted for a classic style but there are lots of different finishes including embellishment detail and studier styles with small heels for those not so comfortable wearing dead flat shoes.
Check out Pippa Middleton in her gold flats and leopard print shirt - off duty perfection!
