Luckily I don't have outfit dilemma's on Christmas Day either, I always cook, so have to dress practically. All I did was swap my slippers for my sparkly Jimmy Choo shoes, I mean if you can't wear glittery shoes on Christmas Day when can you wear them?
Needless to say you couldn't move for presents and wrapping paper but everyone was over the moon with their pressies!
I was in his hysterics when I opened the door to my eldest and her fiance complete with hand knitted Christmas Jumpers with flashing lights courtesy of her future mother in law!
I always lay the table the night before, too much to do on the day. OH says we need some new placemats in the sale, mine are as old as the hills!
My four waiting patiently for their dinner!
Lunch was so good and as it had taken virtually two days to prepare, I had to go back for seconds! No wonder I couldn't move! In fact I had already started tucking in before I remembered to take a picture! Lots of homemade bread sauce, sausage meat and stuffing balls, pigs in blankets, sprouts with lardons and chestnuts, parsnips in honey with mixed herbs and carrots with cinnamon and maple sypup, . Yum! Oh and the Aldi Christmas pudding recommended by Good Housekeeping also got our vote!
Lots of bubbles were consumed.
Then we walked it all off, or tried to but I don't think it worked!
Our evening party nibbles were accompanied by a round of shots, something I thought I would never do, but the girls cheered me on!
Hope you all had a fab time and aren't too depressed if you are back at work today!
