How One Wedding Or Races Outfit Can Create A Whole New Summer Capsule!

Art House Print Skirt £98 Jigsaw. Art House Print Top £98 Jigsaw. Looped Fascinator £22 Coast at House of Fraser. Pink Sandals £34.99 Dolcis at Debenhams.. Pink Clutch £30 Debenhams.

It may seem a little strange to some that I've done nothing but think about what I am going to wear to my daugthers wedding (two weeks today) but haven't really looked at special occasion outfits for my readers!
Getting an invitation to a wedding can be costly business this days and often calls for hotel rooms and overnight stays, money for drinks, wedding gifts and all before you have even thought about how much your outfit is going to cost! This is where a co-ord (as they are now called by the young and fashionable set) really comes into it's own. Two pieces made of identical fabric that work beautifully together but go some way to creating an array of different summer looks to update your wardrobe and work out to be amazing value on a cost per wear basis.

Mango Karlie Boyfriend Jeans £44.99. Jigsaw Top As Above. Thea Denim Shorts £45 Phase Eight. East Jute Hobo £22. Asos Leather Sandals £22. Friendship Cuff £15 Accessorize.

Cocktails - Skirt - Jigsaw As Above. Cami £18 Warehouse. Heeled Sandals £30 Asos.
Pub Lunch - Bertie Cross Strap Sandals £65. Violeta by Mango Crepe Top £34.99. Bag £130 M Missoni.

If you are looking for a slightly more purse friendly outfit, then check out the Oasis option below. You can do everything as above to create a huge range of looks and this collection even has a matching clutch bag but if you felt that was a little too much, I would add a silver clutch. I love how the colours really lend themselves to mixing and matching with both blue and white denim and the shell top would also look super cute with a pair of black harem pants.

Marble Jacquard Pencil Skirt £50. Shell Top £45. Marble Print Clutch £30. Iris Flower Fascinator £29 Accessorize
Sandals £65 Office.

Would you prefer to invest in a two piece that you can mix and match?

  4. Brilliant post Sharron. And if I was invited anywhere, I think I'd be going along these lines these days to get the maximum mileage out of my clothes. Gone are the days when I bought a Whistles dress for each occasion and wore it the once. Now I'd cry if I did that!

Particularly love the colours in the first montage - happy and bright but still sophisticated.

  9. The title of this post had me intrigued! You're very clever to have thought this all through, I'm terrible at making pieces work in different ways, it's one of the things I'm actively trying to get better at! Love your ideas. P x
