Yoko Kimono

I decided to send back the Kimono I ordered on the grounds that I am haemorrhaging money at the moment and still haven't bought my hat for the wedding, eeek! I  paid the florist on Friday though as I thought it was more important that Chloe has a bouquet than me having a head piece!

I have been selling off a few unwanted pieces on ebay for some weeks now, so decided to put my "thrifty head" on and use my paypal balance to purchase some items that were featured in my recent wardrobe gap post and also some much coveted items I have had my eye on for quite a while that either sold out or I couldn't afford at the time, so have been sitting in my saved searches section, some of which have come up trumps in my size (more to follow).  It hasn't all been good though, I did get outbid on a Breton dress which really annoyed me!
So here is my new Kimono. It keeps falling off my shoulders but what the hell, you get the idea.  It is an Asos one and I was surprised by how much they get bid up to for what I consider to be a cheap and poorly made brand. It is probably longer than I imagined, a downside of only seeing a picture of it on a hanger!

I wore it out for an afternoons shopping earlier in the week. I had no clients in and my eldest had a day off which wasn't planned and needed to pop into town for a few bits. It was sunny so I was thrilled to get to wear my Jimmy Choo for Carrera sunglasses at last!

Sunglasses Jimmy Choo - similar here and the same frames but with limited edition gold plated lenses here.
Vest Top, old M&S - similar here.
Kimono, ebay - wish I'd kept this one
Jeans, old, Warehouse - similar here.
Birkenstocks, old - similar here.
Bag, Givenchy, old - different colour available here.

Just noticed this picture on the my-wardrobe instagram feed and instantly spotted how much these Sheriff and Cherry sunglasses are very similar to my Jimmy Choo for Carrera ones at only £95 here.

  8. I'm still not convinced on the kimono trend, which of course is really stupid of me, as it's the ideal trend/jacket to have for someone like me who's trying to conceal psoriasis. Maybe I should try a few on?? The colours are lovely on you ... and just to say, that everytime I see that Givenchy bag, I sigh with envy!!

  9. Mine slips off my shoulders a little but not too bad - small price to pay for not seeing the bingo wings. I have to say, I actually quite like the length of yours on you - looking good Mrs S!
